The Real Magic of Your Imagination By: Scott Mackay Human imagination is basically the workshop where everything that can be done by man is created. It is man?s imaginative faculty that facilitates a desire into becoming an action. It is often said that everything that can be imagined can be created. And it is true especially in the present time that is characterized by a remarkable rapid change, the fastest throughout the history of human civilization. People through all centuries have already harnessed the power of the world around them and thus the only limit to man?s creative capability nowadays is his imagination. There are two types of imagination. The synthetic imagination is the one used by people to piece together different concepts that they have learned through their experience. It is merely the type of creativity used in assembling the knowledge that people have acquired in life. The second type of imagination is creative imagination, which is most commonly associated with geniuses, who are able to create things out of the blue, just by using their intuition, without the need to gather what has been learned. Creative imagination is the kind of imagine most attuned with one?s desire and ability to connect with the environmental vibrations that cannot be explicitly observed. Imaginations, both synthetic and creative, are like muscles that have to be used extensively and regularly in order to develop and master. Though humans have innate faculties of imagination, this capability will deteriorate if not used to its fullest potential. Desire alone is not enough because one has to actually imagine in order to transform that desire into something practicable such as money. Even though synthetic imagination is less powerful than creative imagination, it should not be undermined because it is most commonly needed to do a lot of processes required in life. But one should not get stuck with synthetic imagination; instead one should use it as a stepping stone for mastering creative imagination. Once the principle of imagination is mastered, assimilated and put to use, one can then make something practical of this important faculty. Imagination is of course useless if it remains in the mind and not put into practical use. And as said this is something that humans are very capable of ? sing imagination to create something that would make one successful in tangible terms. To understand better the practical use of imagination, it would be helpful to examine exemplary cases when imagination yielded success. There was once a drug store clerk who spent all his savings to buy an old kettle and a formula from a doctor. However, the clerk?s mind worked with so much creative imagination, allowing him to think of great possibilities that could be done with that kettle and formula. Now those who are still unfamiliar with the story might be surprised as to what is inside that kettle ? it is what billions of people worldwide drink, which is no other than Coca-cola, one of the most popular beverages in the world. Now the great difference between the doctor and clerk is just one simple thing ? imagination. The doctor simply saw the kettle and the formula as that ? liquid in a container. Though he may have recognized that it is indeed something nice to drink, he did not have enough imagination to think of ways of turning that kettle into an enchanted vessel of gold. The clerk on the other was able to use his creative imagination and saw great possibilities in what is usually seen as a mundane substance. This is how imagination can be used to instigate successes beyond one?s common notion. This also shows how imagination, initiated by desire, can be transformed into action that produces wealth, more than one can just realize.
