Moses Wilderness and Gods Burning Bush of Destiny An Exhortation
By: Brenda Craig

For we are God?s own handiwork, His workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus, born anew that we may do those good works which God predestined , planned beforehand for us taking paths which He prepared ahead of time that we should walk in them living the good life, which He prearranged and made ready for us to live. (Ephesians 3:10 NKJ)

Like Moses

Like Moses, you have been called out of the wilderness, out of the desert, for you know who your Father in Heaven is. He is the Lord God of Israel?the great I AM that I AM. As you find yourself in the wilderness of life, even though there is a portion of fruitfulness as there was with Moses, it is not your destiny. He had a family, a job and a position. In spite of this, his heart was always drawn to the mountain of God?s habitation. Like Moses, you have been hidden away and you have learned much from your communion with your Father in Heaven. Like Moses you must now arise and go!

Don?t Get Comfortable

Do not get comfortable in the wilderness. He has not forgotten one promise or one plan. His plan for you is for a future and a hope. The time of His burning bush always comes in some fashion or other. Peer into the fire of His presence and hear His voice calling you. Make no excuses and believe no lies, only submit to Him, resist the devil and he will flee. Remember He will back you up. He will back up all He asks you to do. Hear Him speak and be obedient.

Success Is the Only Option

Success is the only option. It is the only alternative. Doubt, fear and unbelief are Satan?s tactics and they are enemies of your destiny. They are the trio sent by the enemy to rob success. They attach themselves to the failures of the past and to visible circumstances to convince you otherwise, opening your heart to deception. And the greatest deception the enemy longs to impart is to persuade you that your past is indicative of your future. The Father knows your heart and has heard your confession and asks, ?What failures?? They are separated from you as far as the East is from the West. They are no more. It is time to move on and leave the past behind. He has.

Out of the Fire Comes Victory

Out of the fires of life come the Lord?s directions and His directives. Out of the fire of refinement comes the word GO. Go! He has anointed you to set the captives free (Isaiah 61). The anointing is in you for this purpose. Have faith in Him. Have faith and know He will back up anything and everything He asks you to do. Would He ask you to do something just to watch you try, all the while withholding His power as you fail? NO! It shall never be.

Press On to Victory

Would God say you can do all things in Christ who strengthens you, and then abandon you to do it in the arm of the flesh (Philippians 4:13)? NO! Would He say forget what is past and press on to your high calling in Christ Jesus and at the same time constantly remind you of all past inadequacies and failed attempts (Philippians 3:12-13)? NO! It shall never be, so make no excuses. Find the captives and set them free. You are qualified because He lives in you. You are His handiwork (Ephesians 2:10). Knowing His mercies are new every morning, press on to victory. He is on your side.

The Captives

You might ask, ?Where are these captives?? They are everywhere you look. There are many in the wilderness waiting for you. Many of God?s children languish away, while others are seemingly comfortable there. Many need the revelation of who their Father is. Many have never known the Lord Jesus at all. They live in the kingdom of the world. Be an example to them and lead them in the way they should go. Tune your heart to the Lord?s voice through much time with Him and the result will be a flowing stream of life from your inner most being. You will hear His voice say go to this person or that one. Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit makes you sensitive to others.

The Truth of His Word

The truth of His Word and the truth of who He is in you will set you free to believe and embrace your purpose. He is neither a man that He should lie nor the son of man that He should repent (Numbers 23:19). Has He not said it? Will He not do it? Cherish the lessons taught you in the desert experiences of life and remember how the Lord burned with passion for you. Remember all the times He took you aside and spoke kindly to you. Yes, you must remember and judge not for mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:3). Be patient and gracious for He is patient and gracious with you.

Remember and Go

Remember, the shedding of your own self-sufficiency creates in you a total dependence on the Lord, enabling humility and reliance on Him alone. It is from this place of learning to trust Him that taught you and now commissions you. Arise, leave the wilderness behind and go into the world surrounding you, sharing what the Lord has done for you. Do the works He prepared for you to do before the foundations of the world (Ephesians 3:10). Be encouraged, He loves you and considers you the best He has to offer.
