Psychic or Intuitive By: Jeffry Palmer I?m not terribly comfortable with the term ?psychic?. The term has evolved to include all manner of fortune tellers and sooth-sayers within its definition. Tarot card readers, mediums, clairvoyants are all lumped under the same heading. The word ??psychic? conjures up images of an old gypsy fortune teller hunched over her crystal ball, or perhaps a slick, made for TV, showman claiming to commune with the spirits of the dead. In any case the word ?psychic? is loaded with negative connotations, some of them are ill informed, but sadly, most of them are well founded. I prefer the term ?Intuitive Advisor?, this describes much more accurately what it is that I do. I offer advice based on intuition. I feel that everyone is perfectly capable of developing his or her natural intuitive abilities. In one sense, there is nothing supernatural, strange or paranormal about what I do. On the other hand, I do feel that there is an important spiritual element to intuitive sensing. The intuitive and spiritual minds are one in the same in my opinion. The spiritual and intuitive senses work in conjunction and they are in a state of continual awareness and communication with each other. It?s this awareness or connectedness with the environment and other human beings which is responsible for the accuracy of any intuitive information. Perhaps I?m splitting hairs or getting hung up on semantics, but I feel that it is important to differentiate natural intuitive abilities from supernatural, psychic phenomena. I believe that intuitive sensing is a natural ability, one that can be trained, strengthened and exercised, not a randomly occurring trait found among a select few of the world?s population.
