Personal Development Be Successful Everyday and Be Rich
By: Thomas McGiveron

When it comes to the idea of ?becoming rich?, if you find yourself saying, ?It?s not about the money?, you might find becoming a savvier investor/businessman is ?easier?. I put the word ?easier? in quotes because it is hard to actually get to the point of having one million dollars either on paper, invested in real estate, or the ultimate, in cash. My personal short-term goal is to have over 1 million dollars in total assets within two years. My long-term goal is to have over 1 million in cash as liquid assets by 2012. By 2016, I want to ?retire? and become a public speaker for youth and adolescent audiences. I say that achieving these goals will be ?easier? for me not only because I have many advantages over other people, in terms of my education, credit and current money to invest, but more so because I?m not doing it for the money.

I didn?t learn this from any book either. There are probably messages out there with this same message and I may have read some along the way. However, I have come to a point in my life where I?ve realized that life is all about challenges. Knowing there is something out there for me to tackle, gets my blood boiling. Challenges are all around us. It is my strong belief that meeting these challenges is the essence of life itself. I realized that if the challenge of becoming a millionaire is out there then why not spend my overall life, meeting that challenge.

I?ve spent ten months educating myself, doing real hands-on investing, creating a business, and it has been an awesome experience. Shying away from it because of negative thinking or thoughts of a ?regular life? and disbelief in my abilities would be a complete travesty! Yearnings for comfort and security are messages that have been pumped into each of us by societal norms, parents who love us and friends who?ve helped mold our beliefs. Again, these are not novel ideas, but until you can actually realize their true meaning, making money will be more difficult. If you wake every morning and focus solely on the need to quit your job and become an investor, the harder it will be to achieve. Why? Because feeling high anxiety about ?having? to do anything will only work against your efforts.

Realize what is important on a day to day basis and have confidence in yourself to be free to do what you want. Do what is right on that day and take each call to action into consideration. What do I mean by this? I simply mean, live your life. Live it as if you will not be here tomorrow. If you ever get a phone call from someone in need, that is a call to action. Act righteously at all times and you will achieve fantastic wealth. It?s not about pressuring yourself to do the ?right thing? at all times. It?s about simply doing what you know is right, when circumstances present themselves.

At this point, you might be thinking, ?where the heck is this going?? Each and every day brings new challenges. Focusing solely on ?becoming rich? everyday will only cloud your vision. Thinking about ?becoming rich? won?t get you there. Changing your thinking about it will! This change will include your mind, your body and spirit. Now that?s definitely a clich? we?ve all heard at one time or another. But it holds true. There are many people out there who?ve become financially wealthy or were born into financial wealth that don?t have a strong connection between these three elements. Many can be very?bitchy, for lack of a better word. Many can come off as completely snobbish or tenacious. Granted, much of their tenacity in business may present them in a poor light (which may be their key to financial success and not have anything to do with them personally), but overall, I bet many of us have at least known someone who?s ?rich? and is a complete jerk. That being said, if you?re poor or middle class now, the message of this article is to help us ?poor folk? realize our fist investment must be in our mind, body and spirit.

I will be successful. I say this to mean, ?I will be successful in what I do today, whatever this day may bring.? If I look at my life as most people do, paying more attention to where I?ve been and where I?m going, rather than where I am now, I will be less successful. This is simply not an option for me. If you?re poor or middle class, and want to ?become rich?, you need to start looking at each day as a wonderful opportunity to become a winner in everything you do. Win, when you help someone in need. Win, when you do what must be done. Win, when you overcome fear. Win, when you praise God for the day you decided to become a success - psst?that?s everyday! So I leave you with this thought: Be a success everyday of your life? You could live 99 years and be a great success, but if you spent the majority of that time stepping on others, you?ve ultimately been a failure. Be successful everyday of your life and you will become rich! ?2006 noobdogs.com
